Congratulations, this is such a special and exciting time in your lives! We’re always humbled when our past wedding clients ask us to photograph this huge milestone in their marriage. Because of that, we created this list of our favorite stores to buy maternity dresses for photoshoots so they can feel confident and look good. Remember: There is no such thing as “too dressed up” when it comes to your maternity shoot. And don’t forget to look for what we like to all the *dress trifecta* at the bottom of this post. We usually recommend maternity photos around 28-36 weeks. This is usually around the time when you’re comfortable enough to walk and your belly has a nice round shape. Of course, Amazon is going to be on this list! When in doubt, or if we can’t find anything local, Amazon is our go-to place to shop. They also have a personal shopper program through Prime Wardrobe that is an awesome resource if you’re constantly on the go or looking for an easier way to look good. A personal shopper can drastically boost your confidence level and it’s not as expensive as you’re probably thinking. This program works best on your mobile phone so if you do sign up, that’s what we’d suggest you do. Either way, we’d absolutely recommend giving it a try!
Our Dress Trifecta
If you’re still shopping around we’d encourage you to look for our dress trifecta – as we like to call it. We always recommend dresses and skirts that are long, flowy (because they look amazing in the wind), and for the top to have a 3/4 length sleeve.
