Alisal Ranch | A Solvang Wedding Venue

The Alisal Ranch is located just south of Solvang and if you’ve never been before, you might not know it’s there. It’s a working ranch with a resort-like feel nestled into the hills of the Santa Ynez Valley.

With over 10,000 acres of land, there are several unique ceremony locations, you’re sure to find one perfectly tailored for your day. A 15-minute drive through the property leads past multiple highlights and eventually leads to Sycamore Grove. One of the most beautiful ceremony spaces surrounded by nature that we’ve ever seen.

As you walk the grounds, we’ll capture photos that will grace your home for decades to come. You’ll dance the night away underneath string lights and the stars above. And you’ll always remember how beautiful your day truly was at Alisal Ranch.

The Bridal & Groom Suites at Alisal Ranch

There are many cabins and rooms available for you to stay in overnight and it is recommended that you get ready in your room before venturing out to your first look location or ceremony space. Because of the size of the ranch, you should be able to get ready in separate rooms without a chance of seeing each other before your first look or when your ceremony begins, whichever you choose.

Ceremony Spaces and our Favorite Locations at Alisal Ranch

Sycamore Grove

A 15-minute drive from the main ranch and guest rooms, this unique setting is unlike any we’ve seen before. The wind in the trees is the only noise you’ll hear because this far into the hills the world is quiet. The beautiful 300-year-old Sycamore trees surrounding the area are beautiful backdrops to your photos and offer plentiful amounts of shade for your guests. This is a gorgeous place for your wedding ceremony and your reception can be held nearby.

Proposal Point

A small path leads down the hill towards a couple of Oak trees. A point that overlooks the lake below. The surrounding hills are covered in green trees and yellow grass. It’s a gorgeous place to get engaged and the photos will be priceless. Depending on the size of your wedding celebrations you can also choose to have your ceremony at Proposal Point.

Private Lake

The property has its own private lake and guests of the ranch can spend time doing a variety of activities like fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Couples can choose to get married on the dock or near the water. And as the ceremony comes to a close, the newlyweds can lead their guests to the dance floor still within view of the lake and all the beauty it offers.

A Simple FAQ about Alisal Ranch Weddings

What time should we schedule our ceremony to begin?

Your ceremony start time will be determined by the location you choose to have your ceremony. Regardless of the location you choose, we’ll work with your planner to determine the best time to start your ceremony while still making sure to have enough time to photograph the rest of your day while there is enough light in the sky.

How long should we plan to take bride & groom portraits?

Because of the numerous locations around the ranch, we would recommend a minimum of 45 minutes to make sure we have enough time to travel to a few spots to get the absolute best photos of the two of you while adding some variety to your gallery.

Where should we plan for our first look?

There are many beautiful places for a first look to occur at Alisal Ranch. We would recommend having an idea of a location and a backup so we can plan accordingly depending on the weather on your wedding day.

Can my guests stay nearby?

Yes, guest rooms are available! The Alisal Ranch has many rooms available so your entire guest list can stay in a safe environment the night of your wedding.
