Editorial at Sunstone Villa

This Sunstone Villa wedding editorial is reminiscent of a tale in an old storybook taking place in the Provencal French countryside. Located in the Santa Ynez Valley, the Sunstone Villa prides itself on its French heritage. Constructed with French limestone, the villa was built using authentic reclaimed materials from various buildings in Marseille and Provence, France. Inside the building, the large wooden beams that support the ceiling were reclaimed from a lavender factory that was once owned by Queen Victoria.

Sarah, a talented florist and the owner of Mulberry & Moss added to the villa’s beauty with her floral creations. She tastefully decorated the outside staircase that was the backdrop to the ceremony space. And at the alter numerous candles were aflame for the couple’s vows.

Walking through one of many large wooden doors at this Sunstone Villa wedding venue led to the courtyard at the back of the building. Once you stepped out of the backdoor and down two steps there was a reception table created with the villa’s aesthetic in mind was a beautiful addition to the modern romantic style of this wedding editorial.

Weddings by Susan Dunne meticulously planned every detail of this majestic experience. Her unparalleled sense of style brought the event together wonderfully with a timeless palette of soft pinks, deep greens, and white with hints of cream and gold.

Sunstone Villa Wedding Couples

Taylor, the first bride, wore the Hyperion wedding gown designed by Pronovias. It’s a blush dress in tulle with a delicate floral pattern and a gorgeous open leg slit. Accompanying her, her groom David, wore a deep green tux complete with a boutonniere wrapped in a soft pink bow to match the ribbon-wrapped his bride’s bouquet. Taylor & David’s portraits took place under two large oak trees in the middle of one of the vineyards near the Villa. A short distance away, the villa stood out prominently against the mountain backdrop further away.

The second bride, Miya wore the stunning gown, Audrey, designed by Karen Willis Holmes. The spotted tulle bustier wedding dress is so elegant and so french. In addition, she wore the matching off the shoulder sleeves and the full circle skirt lining to give an additional flair to her modern aesthetic ensemble. Her groom, Luke, wore a tux reminiscent of Gatsby’s. Because when you can look the part of a 1920’s successful millionaire on your wedding day, you take that chance. Together, Miya & Luke had their photos taken on the driveway in front of the Sunstone Villa. On one side of the driveway, rows and rows of vineyards ran parallel to the road. Whereas, olive trees lined the other side. They also had a vintage car at this Sunstone Villa wedding editorial.

Both of the brides wedding gowns were borrowed from En Blanc. Both of the couples were pampered and prepared by Page Beauty and wore rings from Trumpet & Horn.
