How Will You Use Your Engagement Photos?
There are so many creative ways to use your engagement photos, and our favorite part of the wedding planning process pre-wedding is the engagement session! We’ll help style your session by offering suggestions for locations and outfits, and once we’re all together we’ll teach you our poses so you’re pros when the wedding day rolls around.
There’s a lot to plan when it comes to a wedding. We know. We’ve been there! But your engagement session is a great time to relax and enjoy yourself while reconnecting with your fiancé. We always recommend planning a date night after your session so you stay present with each other. Plus, you’ll be all dressed up, so it’s a perfect time!
Now that you’ve had your engagement session and a wonderful meal with an even better company, what do you do with your engagement photos? We’ve created a list of five ways to use your engagement photos, so without further ado, let’s get started!
1. On Your Save the Date Cards or Other Stationery
One of the ways to use your engagement photos is on your Save the Dates! A lot of our JS couples choose to do this because it makes their stationery unique to them. No one else in the world will be able to send Save the Dates with your picture on them! It’s also fun because you get to see yourself on part of your invitation suite, and when else will that happen?!
2. On Your Wedding Website
If you’re using a wedding website to connect with all of your guests, then it’s a great place to show off some of your engagement photos! Most wedding websites have a section to tell the story of your relationship and it can be a lot of fun for your guests to see some photos of all the joy you’re experiencing as fiancés.
3. In Your Guest Book
There are so many unique ways to record the guests that came to your wedding. One of our favorites is in a guest book. Using photos from your engagement session we can design an album with extra room on edge of some pages for your family and friends to sign and write you messages. This way they get to experience your engagement session similar to the way you did, and once everything is said and done, you get a beautiful album of your engagement session with wonderful notes from your favorite people to keep beside your wedding album.
4. Large or Small Displays at Your Wedding
Prints from your engagement session of 11×14 and larger placed on easels, stands, or walls look great at wedding ceremonies and receptions. You can also use prints 8×10 and smaller as displays at your wedding to enhance the existing decor or to share a message, as centerpieces, or to accompany any wedding favors you might have.
5. As Decor in Your Home
The best part about your engagement photos is that they’re yours to use and cherish forever. So, you can decorate with them at home, setting them in a frame and hanging them on your walls. You can take them into the office to set on your desk. And if you displayed any of your engagement photos at your wedding, definitely take them home to hang up!
