Gina & Michael had planned a three-week vacation to the United States from Germany. However, Michael was keeping a secret from Gina. He had asked her father if he could marry her just hours before catching the plane to the States. He knew he wanted to propose but didn’t want her learning of his plans before they left so he saved it for the last possible minute. As the two of them traveled through California Michael got down on one knee and popped the question of a lifetime; which led them to their Santa Claus Beach Elopement!
Hours after getting engaged Gina told Michael she didn’t want to wait any longer to be able to say “I do” and spend the rest of her life with him. So, they started planning their elopement! They found her a dress, him a bowtie, a great spot by the sea, and a couple more details to add to their day.
Ute, from Keani Wedding Design planned a beautiful ceremony for Gina & Michael’s Santa Claus Beach Elopement. A bottle of sparkling cider (non-alcoholic, if you’re wondering!) and two glasses sat on one of the two round white tables near the altar. On the second were two sand dollars, a clay heart with “love” written in multiple languages, and two large shells filled with different colored sand to pour into a heart-shaped glass bottle to signify the couple joining together as one. A variety of different colored flower petals and a special blanket lay on the sand just before the altar.
Gina & Michael, we are so happy for you and hope you never forget your time spent in California! Thank you for choosing us to celebrate such a happy and special time in your lives together! We feel honored to have been your photographers and the ones to experience your first moments as husband and wife. You are both so sweet, and we’re wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
And if you peep really close to the left side of the next photo, you’ll see a black speck in the water. It’s a dolphin!!! It’s also in the center of the photo after!
Special thanks to Ute from Keani Wedding Design for her planning expertise, wonderful creativity, and cute props that brought this Santa Claus Beach Elopement to life!
